Every day, Design Project Service Manager Amina Vejzovic and the rest of her BW Supply team are presented with new and unique challenges, and that’s a great thing.

“There’s plenty of variety in my job, and that’s one of my favorite things about it,” Vejzovic said. “Every project differs in scale. On one project, I could be assisting a new-build property with numerous supply requests, and on another, I could be helping a property complete a simple redesign. It’s really great!”

Vejzovic has been with Best Western® Hotels & Resorts for almost 10 years. She was initially hired as a reservation agent. And while she was employed with the brand, she worked on receiving a degree in Business Administation from Arizona State University. Shortly after graduation, she was hired by the BW Supply team as a purchasing representative. Later on, she transferred to project management.

As a project manager for BW Supply, Vejzovic’s primary responsibility is overseeing design projects from start to finish at a timely rate. She’s also a member advocate, representing them to a variety of suppliers.

“I enjoy guiding the members and helping them every step of the way,” Vejzovic said. “When any of my clients is presented with a PIP of any sort, it can be extremely overwhelming, and you may not know where to start. So, it feels great to alleviate them of their concerns and help them save a lot of time and effort. I also love seeing the transformations we help to bring about in our hotels. The changes can be really phenomenal!”

Speaking of “phenomenal,” one of Vejzovic’s more recent projects was a new GLō hotel – Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ new boutique brand –  in Brooklyn, New York, scheduled to open in the near future.

“Working on the new GLō was very exciting,” Vejzovic said. “Since it’s one of our first of its kind, my team learned a lot while we worked on the project. I think people are really going to be blown away when it opens up.”
